Wanlong ski resort is 249 kilometers from Beijing and 50 kilometers from Zhangjiakou. The first phase of Wanlong ski resort invests more than 80 million yuan. The first phase development of Wanlong Skiing Ground has completed five primary, middle and advanced skiing tracks, covering a total area of more than 200,000 square meters. Among them, Jinlong Snow Road 1800 meters; Yinlong Snow Road 2000 meters; Yulong Snow Road 2500 meters; Xiaolong Road 800 meters; Junior Snow Road 350 meters. The ski resort is equipped with 1600 sets of foreign latest CARVING skis, 200 of which are SALOMON brand high-grade ski gear; three double-chair ropeways have been built; 13 snow-making machines, 2 snow-rolling cars, 4 snow motorcycles and 50 snow flying saucers have been imported from Canada and Japan; and the ski resort has also introduced a large-scale ski-making system, which matches the unique nature. Snowfall makes Wanlong Ski Resort the earliest open ski resort in Asia; 2600 square meters of snow rental hall equipped with advanced electronic fee management system; 1400 square meters of ornamental fast restaurant provides spacious space, light music surrounded, providing comfortable and convenient services for visitors.

The 3rd China Chongli International Skiing Festival was successfully held at Wanlong Skiing Ground in 2003, the 4th China Chongli Skiing Festival was successfully held again at Wanlong Skiing Ground on December 18, 2004, and the 8th National Volkswagen Alpine Skiing Championship will be held at Wanlong Skiing Ground on February 20, 2005. Meanwhile, Heilongjiang skiing team, Harbin skiing team, China Solomon National Youth Skiing Team, as well as Korean and Japanese professional skiing teams have designated the Wanlong Skiing Ground as a designated training base. It takes only 3 hours to drive on the asphalt pavement from Beijing Madian through Badaling Expressway, Jingzhang Expressway and Zhangjiakou to Wanlong Skiing Ground. The traffic is fast and the journey is easy.

The earliest start: due to the influence of local climate, the unique geographical location of Wanlong, the lowest temperature to below zero every year to September, and the warm winter in 2004, the date of starting skiing was postponed to November 13. In this case, the Wanlong skiing resort is also the earliest natural skiing resort in China. Wanlong has introduced large-scale snow-making systems abroad. Large-scale water storage tanks (13 snow-making machines) have snow-making pipelines on both sides of the snow track. If natural snow is insufficient, artificial snow can be made when the temperature of the day is below zero. Make sure the skiing period is not shortened by the absence of natural snow.

Traffic information

1. Take Bus No. 55 to Beijiao Long-distance Station in Beijing, take bus to Chongli Bus Station, and transfer to Wanlong Skiing Ground by taxi.

2. Yongdingmen or Xizhimen Long-distance Station take Beijing-Zhangjiakou special line, change to Zhongba to Chongli, and transfer to Wanlong ski resort for rent.
