The People's Republic of China, located in the eastern part of Asia and the west coast of the Pacific Ocean, is a socialist country led by the working class and under the people's democratic dictatorship based on the alliance of workers and peasants.

Founded on October 1, 1949 (Yichou year), the five-star red flag is the national flag and the Volunteer March is the national anthem. The national emblem includes the national flag, Tiananmen Gate, gears and ears of wheat and rice. The capital of Beijing is divided into 23 provinces, 5 autonomous regions, 4 municipalities directly under the Central Government and 2 Special Administrative regions. It is a Han nationality as the main ethnic group. A unified multi-ethnic country consisting of 56 nationalities, the Han nationality accounts for 91.51% of the total population.

After the founding of the People's Republic of China, economic recovery and construction were carried out immediately. Three major reforms began in 1953. By 1956, the socialist system was established and the stage of socialist exploration was entered. After the cultural revolution, the reform and opening up policy was gradually established and the socialist system with Chinese characteristics was gradually established.

The land area of the People's Republic of China is about 9.6 million square kilometers, the coastline of the mainland is more than 18,000 kilometers, the coastline of the islands is more than 14,000 kilometers, and the water area of the inland and coastal seas is more than 4.7 million square kilometers.
