The animal resources in Neijiang are mainly livestock, poultry and some wild animals. Domestic animals include mammals, birds, insects, fish and domestic wild animals. There are pigs, cattle, sheep, rabbits and a small number of horses, mules and donkeys in mammals; birds mainly include chickens, geese, ducks, quails and pigeons, among which chickens, geese and ducks are the most frequently fed; insects are bees and silkworms; fish are carp, crucian carp and grass, green, silver carp and Bighead Carp introduced successively; domestic wild animals include otter, cormorant, sika deer, black bear, etc. There are only 240 kinds of wild animals, including sparrow, turtledove, black headed snake, frog, eel, loach, wild cat and hare.
