Dalian Forest Zoo is located in Baiyun Mountain Scenic Area, Dalian, covering an area of 7.2 square kilometers. Tropical Fruit Park

With an area of 1,100 square meters, there are more than 4,800 plants of 79 species. Australian Kangaroo Garden

Australian Kangaroo Park is the latest attraction of Dalian Forest Zoo in 2008. It is the highlight of many renovation projects of the park in 2008. So far, visitors in the free-range area from the entry to the end of the journey to achieve a real change of pace.

The Australian kangaroo Park project invested 3.5 million yuan and was completed on July 15, 2008. The rhinoceros cage platform is built according to the mountain situation. It consists of 7000 square meters kangaroo and EMU exhibition area, 100 square meters new kangaroo cage, 380 square meters fast food restaurant, tourist souvenir shop and 80 square meters Star public toilet. There are over 30 red-necked kangaroos, grey kangaroos, Eugene kangaroos, red kangaroos and white kangaroos on display, and nearly 20 Australian emus. In order to improve the humanized service function of leisure area, a viewing platform is built on the top of rhinoceros cage house, fast food restaurant and kangaroo cage house. Tourists will enjoy the beautiful scenery of free-range culture area on the viewing platform. More than 5,000 square meters of grassland were laid in the recreation area and two new waterfalls were built to simulate the natural landscape. The water of the reservoir was introduced into the waterfall through artificially laid pipelines and surrounded the recreation area for a week, making it a tourist recreation area with sound of waterfalls and complete facilities. New kangaroo sculptures on both sides of the waterfall will also become the landmark scenery here.

Ecological bird house

The Bird Pavilion is located in the original Tropical Rainforest Pavilion, which exhibits nearly 20 species of tropical and subtropical birds from many countries.

Cranes exhibition area

Crane exhibition area is located in Dalian Forest Zoo Phase I enclosure area, between dinosaur paradise and ecological bird hall, adjacent to elephant performance venue. There are eight kinds of cranes in Dalian Forest Zoo: red-crowned crane, white-pillow crane, castor-feathered crane, grey crane, grey-crowned crane, black-necked crane, white crane and white-headed crane. In order to enrich the exhibition effect, five kinds of cranes were introduced from abroad, including pit crane, sand dune crane, blue crane, black crowned crane and red-necked crane. There are only 15 species of cranes in the world. There are 13 species of cranes on display in Dalian Forest Zoo, of which 6 are endangered.

The crane exhibition area is located in the phase I enclosure area. It is renovated on the basis of the original giant panda and small panda breeding exhibition site and the surrounding landscape green space. The planned area is about 4000 square meters. The exhibition area is divided into outdoor activities, indoor breeding cages and indoor ornamental corridors.

According to the species of cranes on display, the outdoor activities are divided into 13 sites. Three relatively independent landscape water systems with a total length of nearly 100 meters run through the site, forming a wetland environment for cranes to survive. Sustainable filter sand cylinders are installed at the source of the water system to ensure the cleanliness of the water quality. On the basis of keeping the original plants in the site, aquatic plants and hedgerow protective belts were planted, which increased the landscape richness. Steel wire mesh and wire are used to protect and isolate the site, which ensures the safety of human and animals.

The indoor venues and viewing corridors were reconstructed in the original cages and operating corridors for small and giant pandas. Thirteen indoor sites are arranged on both sides of the north and south, taking into account the feeding requirements of lighting, ventilation, heating and animal isolation. In the middle part, the tempered glass curtain wall is used to form an indoor ornamental corridor, which meets the needs of visitors to watch animals in winter.

Panda Museum

The Panda Pavilion is located in the east of the Tropical Rainforest Reptile House in the Wild Rainforest Zoo of Dalian Forest Zoo. It is adjacent to the Small Animal Village and the Tourist Service Center. It has an elevation of 60 meters, an area of about 10,000 square meters and a total building area of about 2,000 square meters.

Panda Pavilion is divided into four functional areas: outdoor exhibition area, indoor exhibition area, indoor cage and logistics area. Among them, the outdoor exhibition area covers an area of about 1200 square meters, which guarantees that three giant pandas have their own independent space for activities; the indoor exhibition area covers an area of 500 square meters, which not only guarantees the giant pandas to live and play in bad weather, but also facilitates visitors to watch all-weather.

There are 5 indoor cages, including one breeding room, equipped with electronic weights, board beds and other necessary facilities, which are mainly used for the night rest of giant pandas; Logistics area, equipped with dining rooms, laboratories, monitoring rooms and two bamboo fresh-keeping storehouses with spraying system, which are mainly used to provide services for the healthy growth and life of giant pandas.

The completion of the Panda Pavilion makes up for the lack of giant panda breeding and exhibition in the three northeastern provinces, and becomes the only all-weather and permanent giant panda Pavilion in the Northeast region.

Happy Primate Park

The Happy Primate Park of Dalian Forest Zoo is located on the northern slope of the African Zoo in the wild area. It covers an area of 12,000 square meters. It is one of the key projects of the Municipal Urban Construction Bureau in 2009. It is also a top-quality project of Dalian Forest Zoo in 2009.

Happy Primate Park is divided into indoor viewing area, outdoor viewing area and service and leisure area. Tourists mainly watch through indoor corridors, trestles and battery car lines. The landscape part is mainly set off by the overlapping waterfalls of 190 meters wide, with various animal recreation facilities to enhance the display effect.

There are 26 cages in the indoor viewing area, which is nearly 3000 square meters. The outdoor viewing area covers an area of 8,000 square meters, including a 220-meter long and 2.4-meter wide wooden paved viewing trestle and 19 outdoor animal stadiums. The stadium is full of animal sports and playing facilities. Visitors can directly view various forms of animals from the trestle, and the effect is excellent.

The service leisure area is located at both ends of the sightseeing trestle, covering more than 1000 square meters, including leisure square, public toilet, souvenir shop, science popularization board and leisure facilities, highlighting the functions of leisure and science popularization.

More than 200 primates of 22 species, including chimpanzees, golden monkeys and East black-and-white verruca monkeys, were exhibited in the primate park.

120 yuan per person in peak season and 100 yuan per person in off season. The peak season is from March 1 to November 30. Older people aged 60-69 enjoy half-price tickets with valid certificates.
