Dazhou city belongs to subtropical humid monsoon climate type. Due to the complex topography, regional climate differences are large. The low mountains, hills and river valleys with an altitude of 800 meters have mild climate, warm winter, early spring, hot summer and cool autumn, with distinct four seasons and long frost free period; the low and middle mountains with an altitude of 800-1000 meters have a warm and humid climate, with late spring return, hot summer, early autumn cool and long winter cold; in the middle mountain area with an altitude of more than 1000 meters, the light and heat resources are insufficient, the cold period is longer, and the spring cold and autumn frost are very prominent. Dazhou city is rich in heat resources, with the same period of rain and heat. The annual average temperature is between 14.7 ℃ and 17.6 ℃, and the frost free period is about 300 days. Dazhou city has abundant rainfall with an average annual rainfall of 1076-1270 mm. It is characterized by cold wave and low temperature in spring, drought, flood, gale and hail in summer and continuous rain in autumn.
