Gutian tourist area
It is understood that in 2008, Gutian Tourist Area was rated as a national 4A-level tourist attraction. In 2013, in order to further promote the development of tourism industry and upgrade the brand of "Red Holy Land Eco-Gutian", Gutian Tourist Area takes the exit of Gutian Tunnel to Gutian Villa, with a total area of about 7.6 square kilometers as the core area to carry out the work of creating national 5A-level tourist attractions. Gutian Tourist Area is mainly the old site of Gutian Conference, Memorial Hall and chairman's garden.
Next, Gutian Tourist Area will further expand the tourism framework, highlight the charm of tourism culture, strengthen the interaction of tourism participation, constantly update, ensure the rationality and advancement of service facilities, enhance the attractiveness of tourists and prolong their stay time, and create a red tourism destination.
On October 8, 2015, the website of the National Tourism Administration published a list of national 5A tourist attractions, including 14 scenic spots including Zhou Enlai's hometown. The 14 scenic spots announced in this announcement are distributed in 11 provinces of China. It includes: Gutian Tourist Area, Longyan City, Fujian Province.
On October 15, 2015, the website of the National Tourism Administration issued the Announcement of the National Committee for the Quality Assessment of Tourism Resources Planning and Development. The Gutian Tourism Area in Longyan City, Fujian Province, met the requirements of the national 5A-level tourist attractions standard and was approved as the national 5A-level tourist attractions.
