In 2019, Nanchong implemented 97 key science and technology plan projects, an increase of 7.8% over that in 2018, including 83 national and provincial science and technology plan projects. It won 11 provincial science and technology progress awards. In the whole year, 2834 patents were applied, including 506 invention patents; 1518 authorized patents, including 96 invention patents; 178 patent implementation projects, with a new output value of 1.838 billion yuan. At the end of the year, 74 high-tech enterprises were identified and 404 technology contracts were registered, with a contract value of 336 million yuan.
