In terms of business location, the retail sales of consumer goods in urban areas were 34.781 billion yuan, an increase of 10.2%; the retail sales of consumer goods in rural areas were 24.645 billion yuan, an increase of 10.6%. By industry, the retail sales of wholesale and retail industry were 46.111 billion yuan, an increase of 10.6%; the retail sales of accommodation and catering industry were 13.315 billion yuan, an increase of 9.6%.

In 2019, the total import and export volume of foreign trade reached 205 million US dollars, a decrease of 4.6% over the previous year, of which the export value was 147 million US dollars, a decrease of 16.5%; the import volume was 58 million US dollars, an increase of 49.1%. Two new foreign-invested enterprises were set up, with an actual foreign investment of 45.45 million US dollars.

By the end of 2019, the balance of domestic and foreign currency deposits of Neijiang financial institutions was 180.212 billion yuan, an increase of 9.1% over the previous year, including 141.311 billion yuan of household deposits, an increase of 11.5%. The balance of domestic and foreign currency loans of financial institutions was 102.142 billion yuan, up 13.1%.

The annual premium income of insurance institutions was 6.076 billion yuan, an increase of 20.3% over the previous year. Among them, property insurance premium income was 1.229 billion yuan, an increase of 5.4%, and life insurance premium income was 4.847 billion yuan, an increase of 24.7%. All kinds of compensation and payment were 2.078 billion yuan, an increase of 4.7%.
