In 2019, the sown area of crops in Suining will be 388500 hectares, an increase of 22000 hectares or 0.6% over the previous year, including 269400 hectares of grain crops, an increase of 0.6%, and 119100 hectares of economic crops, an increase of 1%. The annual grain output was 1.422 million tons, an increase of 1.0% over the previous year, including 445000 tons of rice, a decrease of 0.9%.

In 2019, 2.8425 million pigs were put on the market, 24.2% lower than that of the previous year, 34000 cattle, an increase of 3.8%, 376700 sheep, an increase of 2.8%, and 24249100 poultry, an increase of 16.2%. The total output of meat was 267700 tons, a decrease of 17.2% over the previous year. Among them, the output of pork decreased by 22.6%, the output of beef increased by 4.3%, the output of mutton increased by 3.3%, the output of poultry meat increased by 16.1%, and the output of eggs increased by 4.2%. At the end of the year, there were 1454800 live pigs on hand, down 36.4% over the previous year. In the whole year, the aquaculture area was 6100 hectares, an increase of 0.1% over the previous year; the output of aquatic products was 55000 tons, an increase of 1%.

In 2019, Suining completed a total investment of 351 million yuan in the construction of high-standard farmland, built a high-standard farmland canal network, built 234.78 kilometers of drainage and irrigation channels, and built a comprehensive demonstration area of farmland and water conservancy infrastructure construction of 117700 mu. At the end of the year, the total power of agricultural machinery was 1.2838 million kilowatts, an increase of 3.4% over the previous year.
