Li Xuebing, male, Han nationality, was selected in the "Hundred Talents Program" of Chinese Academy of Sciences. He graduated from the Department of Applied Chemistry of Shandong Institute of building materials industry in 1992 with a bachelor's degree. After returning to China in September 2006, he worked in Institute of Microbiology, Chinese Academy of Sciences.

Personal resume

In 2000, he received a doctor's degree in molecular engineering from Tottori University of Japan; in 2000-2001, he worked as a postdoctoral researcher in the Institute of agricultural biological resources of the Ministry of agriculture, forestry and Fisheries of Japan; in 2001-2006, he was a distinguished researcher of biopolymer lecture in the Department of science, Hokkaido University of Japan; and now he is a researcher in the Institute of Microbiology, Chinese Academy of Sciences.

Research direction

We are committed to the research on the methodology of sugar chain synthesis and the development of new methods for the rapid detection of pathogenic microorganisms. engaged in the research and development of sugar (including oligosaccharides, polysaccharides and glycoconjugates) engineering through organic chemistry, biochemistry and other methods. The main contents are as follows: 1. Research on the methodology of sugar chain synthesis: integrating the advantages of traditional organic synthesis (solid-phase synthesis) and enzymatic synthesis, exploring new high-efficiency sugar chain synthesis technology characterized by biological / chemical combination method. 2. Development of carbohydrate drugs and medical materials: analyze the molecular mechanism of sugar chain involved in the process of infection of host cells by influenza virus, Shiga toxin, Escherichia coli and other pathogens, and develop polymer materials with antibacterial and antiviral activities. 3. Screening and molecular modification of bioactive polysaccharides from microorganisms.
