Hou Yueqiu (1923-1982), female, Jingyun Dagu actor, from Tianjin. In the 1950s, he joined the quyi acrobatic troupe of Heping District. In his youth, his voice was higher than that of Liu Baoquan, but in his middle age, his voice tended to be wider and lower, he paid attention to performance, his facial expression was delicate, he positioned the characters accurately, and his body was graceful and moderate. He often plays the repertoire of sadness, such as Baidi City, qixingdeng, Jinbao scolding the city, Nanyang pass, etc.; he also plays the repertoire of Three Kingdoms, such as bowangpo, Zhaoyun intercepting the river, caowangjiejian, etc. There are recordings of Baidi City, bowangpo and citangqin. In his later years, after performing, he taught apprentices, including Ma Xiying and Liu Xiuying.
Life of the characters
In his childhood, he studied Jingyun drum from Zhou Zichen, and later from Wang Zhenlu. He began to stage at the age of 12. In 1948, he performed in Qunying theater. He took turns with Zhang Cuifeng as the main axis and became famous. Later, in her performance with Mr. Bai Yunpeng, she learned from his strong points and achieved her own artistic achievements.
Her voice tone is not high and deep. On the basis of learning the Jingyun drum of Liu school, she absorbed some singing tunes of Shaobai school, developed more in the middle and low bass areas, and made good use of the nasal voice. Her singing is low and euphemistic, with mellow charm and low and beautiful voice, which is quite similar to Yang Baosen School of Beijing opera. The performance of Jingyun is anthropomorphic, lifelike and natural, and the expression and action are simple, vivid, complex and not redundant. They are good at singing works expressing emotions, such as Jinding scolding City, seven star lamp, Baidi City, Huaide farewell girl, etc.
Hou Yueqiu participated in the quyi troupe of Heping District of Tianjin in 1955. In addition to performing traditional repertoire, she also performed modern repertoire Jinxiu village and historical repertoire Da Nao Zhongyi Tang. He was forced to change his job during the cultural revolution. In 1980, the experimental quyi troupe was set up as the former troupe of the quyi and acrobatic troupe in Heping District. Hou Yueqiu regained his artistic youth and resumed his business performance in the troupe. He took turns as the main axis with Yan Qiuxia, the baipai Jingyun drum. In 1979, she recorded the live recording of "Ci Tang Qin". In the interpretation of this thrilling program, her wonderful cooperation with her husband and Sanxian musician Han Derong, a woman singer, set off the atmosphere of the program, left the audience with beautiful enjoyment, and became the best piece of a quyi program. In 1980, he sang "Jinding scolding city" and "Baidi city" in the second session of Jinmen quhui, leaving precious video materials. He died of cancer in 1982 at the age of 59. His disciples include Ma Xiying and Liu Xiuying.
Her audio-visual materials include CI Tang Qin, Jin Ding scolding the city, Bai Di City, Bo Wang Po, Nao Jiang Zhou, Cao Qiao Dian, and Lianzhu kuaishu, Cao Chuanjie Jian, which sang with Liu Fengxia and Zhou Wenru.
Hou Yueqiu said to Zhao Xueyi, "Jinding scolds the city is the work of your Bai family, and it should be returned to your Bai family."
Hou Yueqiu came back after the cultural revolution, and "Jinding scolds the city" became her best repertoire. However, "scolding the city" is the premiere of Bai Yunpeng, with the early records as evidence, and also with the traces of wooden drum and Liu style drum.
Later, Shaobai school also sang "scolding the city", and many female disciples of Liu school, such as sun Shujun, sang Honglin and Xiao Yingxia, were good at it. Luo Yusheng also sang.
Yan Qiuxia inherits the repertoire of Bai school, but there are only 11 or 2 passages, among which the curse of the city is also included. However, since the cultural revolution, he and Hou took turns in the experimental quyi troupe to play the role of saving the bottom, and Yan did not move on.
The art of Er Lao is absolutely first-class. They fought in the arena in their old age until Hou's death, but they never slandered each other, only in art. At the same time, Han Derong played for the two elders. Although he was a family with Hou, he helped them to treat them the same way. Because of Hou's popularity in the audience, Yan is no longer easy to sing.
When Zhao Xueyi went to scold the city, he asked the master of art Hou, so he got the above words.
Before he died, Hou took Yan's hand and said something from the bottom of his heart. Two old one smile to die thousand "hatred"! These things have become popular stories.
In his later years, Yan Lao wrote curse city for Zhao Xueyi and Zhang Yali. Scolding the city is also the last piece of work that Yan Lao gave Zhao Xueyi.
In 1982, Hou Lao died of uterine cancer. In 1988, Yan Lao died of vasculitis. It's a big loss for quyi that Er Lao left early.
