Feng Zhigang

Feng Zhigang, born in April 1969 in Nanxian County, Hunan Province, holds a master's degree. He joined the China Association for the promotion of democracy in July 1994. Feng Zhigang has been engaged in the teaching of Mathematical Olympiad for a long time. He pays attention to the combination of point and area in the teaching, and carries out small class teaching for the top students in the mathematics class. He has trained many mathematical talents for the school and Shanghai. In the past 11 years, more than 40 students have won the first prize in the Shanghai senior high school mathematics competition and the national senior high school mathematics league in 1997-2001, accounting for about one fourth of the students who have won the first prize in the city; 16 students have obtained the qualification to participate in the Chinese mathematics Olympic (winter camp); the number of students who have been taught in the university has increased Student Wu Zhongtao entered the national training team for three times and participated in the 41st International Mathematical Olympiad held in South Korea as a member of the Chinese national team in 2000. Wu Zhongtao won the gold medal in the 41st IMO, realizing the zero breakthrough of Shanghai middle school in winning the international gold medal in the discipline competition.

Basic information

In 1990, he graduated from East China Normal University and taught in Shanghai middle school. He has been a mathematics teacher, deputy director of teaching department, director of teaching department and Deputy principal.

He was promoted to senior teacher of Shanghai middle school in 1997 and graduated from East China University of science and technology in 1999.

Since 2003, he has been the deputy leader of the Chinese team in the International Mathematical Olympiad for many times.

In the second semester of 2012 academic year, Tang Shengchang was replaced as the principal of Shanghai middle school.

Educational characteristics

In teaching, I always carry out the mathematics teaching thought of "high point of view, low starting point, infiltrating modern mathematics thought into teaching". Adhere to the basic requirements of elementary mathematics as a starting point, with the ideas and methods of higher mathematics to unify the various branches of elementary mathematics, pay attention to the early infiltration of mathematical thinking.

The students in mathematics class, as a whole, have great energy. When these energies are concentrated in mathematics competition learning, how can teachers satisfy their thirst for knowledge? The most difficult is the lack of information. Since 1997, I began to look up materials on the Internet. Of course, I want these materials to go from teachers to students in the first time. Teachers need to have excellent professional English level. For the English version of middle school mathematics problems, I can translate them without the help of a dictionary. At the same time, due to my excellent professional skills, I can better grasp the difficulty of the problems, and I can easily choose the problems suitable for my students.
