Zhang Hongyu

Zhang Hongyu, male, born in 1958 in Shifang City, Sichuan Province, Han nationality, is a member of the Communist Party of China. He began to work in 1975, graduated from school of economics and trade of Southwest Agricultural University in 1982, and obtained a doctorate in economics in 2001. He used to be director of the Department of industrial policies and regulations of the Ministry of agriculture and Secretary General of the soft science committee of the Ministry of agriculture.

He is now the director of the Department of rural economic system and management of the Ministry of agriculture and an expert of the rural revitalization committee.

research field

His research fields include agricultural and rural economic policies, rural property rights system and agricultural macro management. He has participated in the drafting of important documents of the central government and the State Council for many times, and successively undertaken major projects and projects of international organizations such as FAO, world bank, United Nations Development Programme, OECD, Australian International Agricultural Research Center, and China Social Science Foundation It is a research project entrusted by relevant ministries and commissions.

He is a part-time professor of Renmin University of China, University of foreign economic relations and trade, South China Agricultural University, doctoral supervisor of Southwest University of Finance and economics and Nanjing Agricultural University, and member of the expert committee of China reform and Research Institute.

Appointment and removal news

On December 11, 2013, Zhang Hongyu was appointed director of the Department of rural economic system and management of the Ministry of agriculture, and removed from the post of director of the Department of industrial policies and regulations of the Ministry of agriculture (director of the office of rural reform pilot zone).
