Zhu Qi

Zhu Qi, born in May 1942 in Xiangyun, Yunnan Province, joined the Communist Party of China in August 1961 and joined the army in January 1960. He graduated from the Central Party School of the Communist Party of China (CPC) in economics and management with a college degree.

He once served as commander of Beijing Military Region.

From December 1959 to 1966, he served as a soldier, secretary, squad leader, secretary, platoon leader and staff officer of a regiment. from 1967 to 1968, he served as a training section staff officer in the headquarters of a division. from 1969 to 1970, he served as the commander of the 2nd Battalion of a regiment and the staff officer of the training section of the headquarters of a division. from 1970 to 1982, he served as the staff and chief of the training unit of the headquarters of a regiment, the chief of the training section, the deputy chief of staff and the head of a regiment of the headquarters of a division. from 1982 to 1984, he studied in the military academy. from 1984 to 1985, he served as deputy and teacher of a certain division. He served as chief of staff of the 14th group army in 1985. He served as deputy commander in 1988. He served as commander of Guizhou military region in June 1990. He served as commander of the 14th group army in 1994. He served as chief of staff of Chengdu Military Region in January 1996 and chief of staff of Beijing Military Region in April 1998. He served as commander of Beijing Military Region in January 2002.

Promotion of military rank

In 1990, he was promoted to the rank of major general. He was promoted to the rank of lieutenant general in 1996. He was promoted to the rank of general in June 2004.
