Ouyang Ruqiu (1918-december 27, 2007), born in Xiaoxian County, Anhui Province, is an actor and director in mainland China.
In 1981, Ouyang Ruqiu won the best supporting actor group award of the 1st China Golden Rooster film award. On December 27, 2007, Ouyang Ruqiu passed away.
In 1937, he studied in Xuzhou high school. In 1938, he became an actor in the second team of the Anti Japanese drama team, performing such Anti Japanese dramas as "strong men" and "eight hundred strong men". In 1941, he went to Yan'an and acted as an actor in the experimental troupe of Lu Xun art academy, performing such plays as "husband and wife literacy", "blood and tears revenge". In 1945, he joined the Communist Party of China; in the same year, he acted as an actor in the first troupe of the Northeast cultural and industrial troupe, performing plays such as "far sighted" and "grain".
In 1948, he acted as an actor in the Northeast film studio, and took part in the production of films such as Guangmang wanzhang and Zhao Yiman. He also directed the Soviet translation films such as reclaimed virgin land, the miners of dunbas and the story of fisherman and goldfish. In 1955, he entered the central senior party school.
In 1956, he began to serve as a teacher and director of the performance Department of Beijing Film Academy, and played roles in films such as cherry, Bashan night rain and the laughter of Moon Bay. In 1981, Ouyang Ruqiu won the best supporting actor group award of the 1st Golden Rooster Award for his role as an old lady in Ba Shan Ye Yu. He also participated in the shooting of TV series such as Taurus and mother. On December 27, 2007, Ouyang Ruqiu passed away.
