Chen Yude (1940-1996) was born in Zhenping county, Nanyang City, Henan Province. He fled to Xi'an with his parents when he was young.

He was admitted to the performance Department of Shanghai Drama Academy in 1958 and went to Henan dialect troupe after graduation.

In 1965, he played a role in the film "the spirit of dragon and horse" adapted from the drama of the same name, which was well received.

After the "Cultural Revolution" in 1976, he appeared on the screen again, and successively appeared in such films as "running river", "look at the family", "contemporary", "dumb girl", "spring Ding Dong", "our Niu Baisui", "female model disturbance", "girl in the lake", "trendy girl" and so on.
