Wu Xing, Zhejiang Province, was born in Jilin Province. Later, his family moved to Shanghai. Lu Biyun was deeply influenced by his elder brother Lu Zhiyun, who was a forerunner of Chinese drama movement. He loved drama and was a drama actor in high school. After graduation, Lu Biyun officially began his professional drama performance in Shanghai Lanxin troupe, and then became popular. At that time, he was known as "drama queen" in Shanghai.

Acting career
