Zhong Jinghui

Chung King Fai (March 28, 1937 -), Hong Kong senior stage actor and director, drama educator, TV producer, TV actor and TV program host. At present, he is the president of the Hong Kong Theatre Association, a member of the performing arts group of the LCSD, the chairman of hekenfang theatre company, and the theatre art consultant of the Hong Kong Arts Development Council. Mr. Chung is the founding president of the school of drama, Hong Kong Academy for performing arts.

Acting experience

Mr. Chung graduated from Peizheng middle school and studied in the Department of English, Chung Chi College, the Chinese University of Hong Kong. He holds a bachelor's degree in speech and drama from Oklahoma Baptist University and a master's degree in art from Yale School of drama. After graduating from the United States, he returned to Hong Kong to teach at the Baptist University. He also participated in television production, performance and administration in Hong Kong Television Broadcasting Limited and ATV. he was the general art consultant of the Hong Kong dialect theatre company. In 1983, he was employed as the founding president of the school of drama of the Hong Kong Academy for performing arts. In 1994, he was awarded the ten-year outstanding achievement award by the Hong Kong Theatre Association. In 1999, he was awarded the stage director award of the Hong Kong artist annual award. In 2000, he was awarded the drama achievement award by the Hong Kong Arts Development Council. In 2001, he was awarded the honorary academician of the Hong Kong Academy for performing arts. In July 2002, he was awarded the bronze Bauhinia Star by the government of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region. In 2005, he was awarded the most outstanding TV Male Artist Award by Ming Pao Weekly. In 2006, he was awarded the brilliant performance award by Hong Kong Television Broadcasting Co., Ltd. and in February 2007, he was awarded the world outstanding Chinese and the honorary doctor of philosophy degree from Armstrong University of California. in the field of stage drama, he has performed numerous performances and has been the founder and President of the Hong Kong Theatre Association. He initiated the performance of absurd plays and Broadway musicals in Cantonese. He has won the best actor award of Hong Kong Stage Drama Award seven times and the best director award four times. Famous directors' works include "mengduanchengxi", "Xialu Troupe", "Jianxue Fusheng", "tianzhijiaozi" and so on. In recent years, his leading works include mad emperor, the death of a salesman, the death of Mozart, golden pond, rain and wind guarding the suitcase, crazy night party cheating, bear the breeze, murder game, etc. In 2006, she performed in the Hong Kong Arts Festival, CO starring with Tang Cui Wen in "unexpected man", "meet on Tuesday", "small town scenery" and so on.
