Wang Yi

Wang Yi (year of birth and death unknown), the word uncle division, South County Yicheng (now Hubei Xiangyang Yicheng County) people. He is a famous writer in the Eastern Han Dynasty. He was the governor of Yuzhou. Chu Ci Zhang Ju is the earliest complete annotation in Chu Ci, which is quite valued by later scholars. He also wrote 21 Fu, Lei, Shu and Lun, and 123 Han Shi. Most of them are lost today. Only Jiu Si is left to mourn Qu Yuan. There is a collection of Wang Shushi in Ming Dynasty.

Main achievements

Wang Yi once participated in the compilation of dongguanhanji. He also wrote chapters and sentences of the songs of Chu, which is the earliest complete annotation of the songs of Chu. In the Song Dynasty, with the further annotation of Hong xingzu, a scholar, Chuci Zhangju became a popular version of Chuci Buzhu. From then on, Chuci Zhangju and Chuci Buzhu usually act together as Chuci Buzhu.
