Wang Xiaomin, male, born in 1956 in Lishu, Jilin Province, is a doctor of medicine, a member of the Communist Party of China, vice president of Capital Medical University, visiting professor and doctoral supervisor of Institute of neuroscience, Peking University.

In 1982, he received a bachelor's degree in medicine from China Medical University; in 1988, he received a master's degree in medicine (trained jointly by Dalian Medical University and Beijing Medical University under the guidance of Professor Pei Dekai and Professor Han Jisheng); in 1993, he received a doctor's degree in medicine (trained jointly by Beijing Medical University and Munich University for four years under the guidance of Professor Han Jisheng and Professor Volker hollt). The main achievements are: (1) the neurotrophic and protective effects of Tripterygium wilfordii monomer (T10) have been discovered for the first time in the world, and the invention patent has been obtained [(patent certificate in June 2003, patent number: zl00107779.1) the use of Tripterygium wilfordii extract in the prevention and treatment of nervous system diseases]; (2) the animal model of Parkinson's disease has been reported for the first time in the world The above two studies have their own research advantages and characteristics, and have their own intellectual property rights. They are the application of traditional Chinese medicine in neurodegenerative diseases, and well promote the new treatment concept with Chinese characteristics to the world. (3) We have established a complete stem cell culture and identification technology, carried out in vitro research on the proliferation and differentiation of neural, bone marrow mesenchymal and muscle stem cells, and the research on the transplantation treatment model of Parkinson's disease; (4) we have established a dual gene therapy model. These original works have published 18 SCI indexed original works in international well-known journals, such as neurology of disease, experimental neurology, Journal of neuroimmunology, etc., which have formed a certain influence in the world.
