Pan Jun, male, born in November 1928, is deputy chief engineer and senior engineer of Shanghai Tunnel Engineering Design Institute (retired). Familiar with the design of air conditioning and ventilation engineering, especially the design of environmental control (including temperature, humidity, air distribution, noise, etc.) for road tunnel ventilation and subway. In the 1970s, he was the project leader of the national key scientific research project "Experimental Research on ventilation of river crossing tunnel". Through theoretical research and tunnel test, he completed all the contents such as equal air supply and accumulated a lot of data.

The project filled the gap in China and won the first national science and Technology Conference award. In the 1980s, he was responsible for the design project of Shanghai Yan'an east road tunnel, introducing foreign advanced technology, adopting new technology, new materials, new technology and new equipment. For this reason, the tunnel has reached the predetermined requirement of "going to the world advanced level in the 1980s". In 1991, the design won the national excellent design award and Shanghai excellent design award, and the project won the National Gold Award. Ten tunnels in Europe and the subways in the Netherlands, Belgium, the United States and Paris, France were investigated, and the environmental control, tunnel fire control and tunnel traffic monitoring of the subway were jointly designed with the public works bureau, Transportation Bureau and Energy Bureau of Rotterdam, the Netherlands Project. More than 20 scientific papers have been published on tunnel ventilation technology, tunnel fire protection and fire prevention, ground environmental assessment, subway environmental control, large ventilation equipment, etc.
