When he performed "Chaoyang ditch" in Zhongnanhai in 1964, he was cordially received by Mao Zedong, Liu Shaoqi, Zhou Enlai, Zhu De and other older party and state leaders.
Wei Yun's "Chaoyang ditch" is the pinnacle, in which she plays the silver ring of educated youth in the countryside. Her beautiful, kind and hardworking stage image is deeply rooted in the hearts of the people. In modern drama galleries, such vivid images as Yinhuan are rare. Her wonderful aria in "Chaoyang ditch" has been well-known for a long time.
He was once a member of the 4th, 5th and 6th CPPCC of Henan Province, vice chairman of Henan Opera Association, consultant of Henan Opera Association and member of Chinese Dramatists Association.
In the early 1950s, she successively starred in new conditions, Luo hanqian, Xiao erhei's marriage, and the fiancee of the volunteer army. In particular, Zhao Shuhua, the heroine of the fiancee of the volunteer army, was recognized and praised by the audience, especially the PLA soldiers. After watching her performance, many volunteers wrote her passionate letters praising her image of women in New China and thanking her for her support to the volunteers. Many troops also took the play as a political teaching material and specially took the troupe to perform in the army.
In the 1950s and 1960s, Wei Yun also starred in several influential plays, such as Gengyun Ji (as Xiao Shuying), red coral (as Shanmei) and people cheering (as Liu Aiqin). In these plays, Wei Yun's characters left a deep impression on the audience with his unique personality and distinct image. The biggest influence is the silver ring in Chaoyang ditch. With the spread of films and radio waves all over the country, Wei Yun has become a household name. After the "Cultural Revolution", Wei Yun played such unforgettable roles as Yang Kaihui in proud Yang, aunt Tian in sweet career and mother ye in the trial of love. He played silver ring again in Chaoyang ditch, which was rearranged after ten years of catastrophe. At the same time, he also plays silver ring again in Yang Lanchun's new work "Chaoyang ditch biography". After the play was staged, it was very popular with the audience. Many people think that Wei Yun's acting skills, like the silver ring in the play, are more mature and unforgettable after suffering. At the same time, she has also made a large number of records and tapes, which have been widely distributed and reprinted throughout the country for many times. Among them, the classic aria of "Chaoyang ditch" and "Qinyuan spring · snow", which composed music for Mao Zedong's poems, have been listed as teaching materials by many art colleges and secondary schools. His deeds were listed in the Encyclopedia of China, celebrities at all times and in all over the world, Chinese women celebrities, and biographies of Chinese contemporary art.
Wei Yun is very strict with herself in art, especially in life accumulation. From 1950s to 1980s, Wei Yun did not know how many performances he had performed in the play "Chaoyang ditch", but he never stopped in shaping the image of Yinhuan. Every time she performs, she strives to have a new feeling and constantly enrich and perfect the role. After retirement, she is still active on the stage all over the country, actively participates in social public welfare performance activities, patiently tutors and trains young actors, and continues to play her due role. During the period of serious illness, she always cared about the business construction in the group. Regardless of her serious illness, she personally wrote, revised her lyrics, composed aria and eulogized the prosperity of the new era.
Wei Yun is one of the pioneers of modern Henan opera. She is one of the "five leading actors" in the third troupe. Her artistic image and singing style remain in the hearts of the audience. She plays a lot of Yinhuan's singing parts in Chaoyang ditch, such as "the great construction of the motherland is developing rapidly", "going up the mountain" and "going down the mountain". Up to now, she is also the most popular part of Yinhuan played by Wei Yun in Chaoyang ditch.
The actors of their generation, as well as the director and the music designer, have made great contributions to the modern Henan opera. Although it seems that the rehearsal of modern opera is already familiar to the workers of Henan opera, it was not easy decades ago. They were faced with an extremely difficult environment. Henan opera has been performed for two or three hundred years, and all of them are emperors, generals, gifted scholars and beauties. Every move and smile of the actors on the stage has a strict program, which is to shape the feudal era It's the people who serve. It is conceivable that it is very difficult to abandon these things and use traditional art to express the new life of workers, peasants and soldiers and socialism. They not only have no experience to draw lessons from, but also the inherent program will become a shackle for the actors to shape new characters and express new life. Fortunately, most of the actors in the three troupes were members of the literary and art troupes who took part in the revolution during the war of liberation and the early days of the people's Republic of China, and they had little traditional influence (these literary and art troupes established Henan Opera House after liberation and were reorganized in 1956 He specially rehearsed modern drama for the third troupe of Henan Opera Theater. However, things always have two sides. Without traditional foundation, it is less bound by the program, but it also means the lack of artistic expression and the fear of not being accepted by the audience. In the documentary "Chang Xiangyu's life story" broadcasted by Phoenix TV's "Phoenix vision", 87 year old Yang Lanchun is still worried about what happened more than 50 years ago —
In the 1950s, people were used to watching traditional operas, but they did not know what modern operas were. When the third troupe performed in other places, the audience responded strongly as soon as Wei Yun's heroine came on the stage: "don't you want to go down and see Chang Xiangyu, see Chang Xiangyu!" Wei Yun couldn't hang up immediately. He ran backstage, pulled his braid (the hair cover he wore in makeup) off his head, fell on the table and cried This situation lasted for a period of time, but the third regiment was unable to maintain and faced the crisis of disbanding.
Turn for the better
Turning point appeared in 1958, a "Chaoyang ditch" changed the fate of the three regiments. At that time, the vast number of urban educated youth responded to the party's call to go to the mountains and the countryside, and the third regiment decided to rehearse a play to reflect the vigorous tide of the times. They worked overtime and miraculously took only seven days to put the film "Chaoyang ditch" on the stage. This speed complemented each other in the background of the "great leap forward". It is said that director Yang Lanchun wrote the script lyrics on his cigarette box. After writing a paragraph, he gave it to music designer Wang Jixiao. After Wang Jixiao designed a paragraph, he taught the actors to sing a paragraph, and the actors immediately practiced with the band. Now it seems inconceivable, but it can be regarded as a "rush" play. Later, it turned out to be so popular, and it has been handed down to this day.
In fact, the success of this play is not accidental: first of all, the director Yang Lanchun was born in laobalu and had a deep foundation in life. He is too familiar with China's rural areas and farmers! After liberation, he went to the Central Academy of drama for further study and wrote the opera "Xiao erhei's marriage" with them. Naturally, he wrote about the peasants without any words. Different from many dramas at that time, Chaoyang Valley not only writes about things, but also about people and feelings. The characters are upright and the emotions are real and vivid. This drama is half successful first. Secondly, Wang Jixiao is an excellent musician. Since he was assigned to play Henan opera music, he has made painstaking investigation and assiduous study on the traditional music of Henan opera. After the practice of several previous operas, in Chaoyang Valley, all the designed singing tunes are new and unique. They integrate the singing tunes of various traditional schools of Henan Opera and become popular as soon as they are released. At the same time, the actors of the three troupes also worked hard. They learned the traditional singing and performance of Henan opera from the old artists. At the same time, they received western vocal music training and learned Stanislavsky's performance system. The most valuable thing is that they always insist on the belief that "art comes from life"
