He graduated from Liaoning University of technology with a bachelor's degree in mine construction in 1998, a master's degree in engineering mechanics from Dalian University of technology in 2003, and a doctor's degree in solid mechanics from Wuhan Institute of geotechnical mechanics, Chinese Academy of Sciences in 2006. currently vice president of School of civil engineering and architecture, Wuhan University of light industry, in charge of postgraduate enrollment, training and degree work, and assisting in discipline construction.

He is mainly engaged in the research of random seepage and its coupling with stress.
Main contributions
He has successively presided over 5 provincial and ministerial level projects such as general projects of National Natural Science Foundation of China, science and technology projects of Hubei Provincial Department of education, 9 projects entrusted by Daqing Oilfield, Shengli Oilfield and other enterprises, and developed 2 sets of large-scale geotechnical engineering calculation software. More than 40 papers have been published in geotechnical mechanics, Journal of rock mechanics and engineering, and more than 20 papers have been included in SCI, EI and ISTP.
