Profile

Huang Yi was born in Beijing. When he was a child, his family lived near Qianmen, and grandma's family lived near Caishikou. When he was 6 or 7 years old, he went from the East Liulichang to the West Liulichang alone and went to grandma Caishikou's house to play. On the way home, he always went into Liulichang's antique shops to have a look. Some of Liulichang's antique shops were almost everywhere. He knows almost all the owners and employees in the shop. He likes the porcelain, calligraphy and paintings and other collections in the antique shop to such an extent that he is obsessed with them. Sometimes he can't see them enough. He spends half a day at a glance and forgets to go home for dinner. Sometimes when he saw something he particularly liked, he used his spare money to buy some small toys he was interested in. Whether he is in primary school or middle school, whether it is Sunday or holiday, whether it is windy or rainy, as long as he has time, he always comes to Liulichang to read and study. He has become a frequent visitor of Liulichang, and Liulichang has become an important part of his life.

Influenced by Liulichang since childhood, he doesn't like to play with other friends. He likes to think about everything and is willing to do what he likes and is interested in.

After graduating from middle school, Guan Yi entered the Central Academy of drama. In order to become a great performing artist in the future, he studied hard. In order to improve their own artistic accomplishment.

In the early 1990s, Guan Yi went to Moscow drama academy, the capital of the former Soviet Union, for further study. After studying in Moscow, the Soviet Union for more than two years, he was even more eager to work hard. His artistic level has been significantly improved, and his artistic accomplishment has been greatly sublimated. When Guan Yi is ready to realize his dream of becoming a great artist, great changes have taken place in the world pattern overnight. In the face of what happened, Guan Yi had a big problem. It was impossible for him to study or survive in peace. He had to face the reality and adjust himself well. From then on, he began a new life.

Personal experience

After experiencing the risks of hard work abroad, Guan Yi's social experience is richer, his ability to analyze, judge and understand the problems has been greatly improved, and he is more objective and practical. He thought that it would be safer to go back to China to start a business instead of going through such difficulties. This is the right choice. Because at this time, the spring breeze of domestic reform and opening up has been blowing all over the country, and the economic construction is booming. As a result, Guan Yi returned to China in 1994. He first went to Xiushui Street in Beijing to open a shop selling arts and crafts products, mainly serving customers in Russia and some Eastern European countries.

In those years, entrepreneurship had just begun. Due to lack of funds and business experience, it was also very difficult to start a business. Because he did not choose the right business project, he was just in the initial stage. He had been to the trading market, commodity fair, flea market, etc. that appeared in Beijing at that time, where he set up a stall to sell goods and sold many kinds of products. In order to accumulate funds and explore experience, he has been engaged in many industries. Through diversified business activities, he has constantly learned, summed up experience and lessons, and made many friends. He has learned many useful things from them, learned valuable experience and lessons, and obtained their sincere help and strong support. So that his business ability is constantly improved. It has increased our knowledge, broadened our horizons and broadened our thinking for the future development of our cause. When he first started his business after returning to China, although his life was hard, bumpy and extremely hard, Guan Yi benefited a lot from this painful and tortuous experience, which is the most precious spiritual wealth in his life.

In one's life, we have to talk about fate. In a business activity, Guan Yi met a beautiful young lady by chance. Our personalities and hobbies are very similar to each other. Through several years of acquaintance and understanding, we have established a good relationship and finally got married. This is fate.

As the saying goes: "predestined fate to meet thousands of miles, no fate to meet the opposite.". Guan Yi's wife is a native of Dongyang, Zhejiang Province. Dongyang is a world-famous wood carving town. Its wood carving works are famous all over the world, and there are many skilled craftsmen engaged in wood carving. He accompanied his wife to some famous historical and cultural cities in Dongyang and the south of Zhejiang Province, which broadened his horizons. He saw many exquisite wood carvings with high artistic level. He also saw many ancient buildings with exquisite wooden structures, such as buildings, platforms, pavilions and pavilions, and elegant classical furniture in many famous cultural cities in the south of the Yangtze River. He can be regarded as the masterpiece of Chinese classical architecture. It made him have a great interest in classical wooden architecture and classical furniture. This interest rose from a simple understanding of appreciation at the beginning to a strong sense of responsibility and a high understanding of the undertaking. He saw the importance and urgency of developing classical furniture and studying ancient wooden structure architecture. In this field which has not yet been fully developed, many aspects are far from catching up, and some aspects are even blank. It is necessary to strengthen the research and development of Redwood industry.

After investigation, careful analysis and judgment, Guan Yi believes that in today's great environment of rapid development of national economic construction and continuous improvement of people's living standards, it is necessary to strengthen the development and research of Chinese classical furniture. He deeply felt that this may be a strong sense of responsibility and mission to promote him, which may be an extremely important work he will be engaged in in in the future. Therefore, he began to read a large number of books about classical furniture and ancient wooden structure architecture, and studied the ancient and modern works about classical furniture and wooden architecture. He understood that classical furniture not only had use value, but also had profound cultural connotation and accumulation. He wanted to carry forward and inherit the excellent mahogany culture of the motherland . Our responsibility is not only to inherit and carry forward the essence of classical furniture, but also to innovate and develop on the basis of inheritance. We must have the sense of the times when we have the characteristics of our age. Our generation has the duty to carry forward China's classical furniture culture.

Since 2008, he has presided over the investigation and repair of the ancient cultural relic furniture and the overhauling of the inner eaves of Qianlong garden in the Palace Museum. Founded a famous mahogany enterprise - Taihe wood

Since 2009, Guan Yi has opened the palace furniture art museum in the Southern Dynasty room on the west side of Taihe gate of the Forbidden City, responsible for the design and development of palace furniture cultural products with cultural elements of the Forbidden City.

In September 2010, Guan Yi held "Qianlong garden classical furniture and interior decoration design exhibition" at Peabody Essex Museum in Massachusetts, USA.

In January 2011, Guan Yi held the Qianlong treasure exhibition at the Metropolitan Museum of art in New York.

From June to October 2012, to celebrate the 15th anniversary of Hong Kong's return to China, Guan Yi held a large-scale exhibition of Emperor Qianlong's Secret Garden at the Hong Kong Museum of art.

In September 2012, Guan Yi presided over the reproduction project of Xiangji and luduanji cultural relics in Huangji Hall of the Palace Museum.

In 2013, Guan Yi presided over the design and manufacturing project of the golden Phoebe book box for the rare ancient books in the Palace Museum Library.

In 2014, Guan Yi spent three years to recreate the Forbidden City turret with 82575 pieces of mahogany in a ratio of 1:5

In 2014, Guan Yi presided over and participated in the renovation and protection project of the carved floor cover in the former residence of Chairman Mao Zedong in Zhongnanhai.

In 2014, Guan Yi presided over the design and production of red sandalwood antique palace furniture for the east palace gate and Tingli Hall of the summer palace.
