Distribution range

It grows in Hainan Island (Wuzhishan, Jianfengling, etc.) with an altitude of 400-1000m. It grows in valleys and streams. It often forms mixed forest or pure forest with evergreen broad-leaved trees. It is one of the main tree species in Hainan. It is also distributed in Jinxiu of Guangxi, Southeast and south of Yunnan, and cultivated in Xinyi of Guangdong.
