Acting experience

Born in 1933 in Xinzhou, Shanxi Province. He is a member of the Communist Party of China and a national first-class actor. Member of Chinese Dramatists Association. He won the reputation of "old urchin" for playing "old urchin grandfather" in CCTV "Happy Planet".

In September 1949, he joined the North China People's revolutionary University. In the same year, he worked as an actor in Hanzhong opera company.

In 1951, he was admitted to the drama department of Northwest art college. After graduation, he stayed in the northwest people's Drama Company (now Xi'an drama theater) as an actor.
