Dong Wei is one of the top action directors in Hong Kong movies. Born in Shanghai in 1954, he moved to Hong Kong at the age of four. He studied Peking Opera with pink chrysanthemum when he was a child. He also played some small roles in movies. At the age of 16, he became a martial arts teacher in movies and often acted as a double. Later, he went to Taiwan to develop and was soon promoted to martial arts director. In 1979, Dong Wei returned to Hong Kong and joined TVB as a contract artist to perform TV series. The famous TV work hero is a teenager. Four years later, he left wireless, and since then he has been shuttling between Hong Kong and Taiwan, working as an actor and action designer. Dong Wei is a very style actor. After he lived, he became a director and action director in many films. His scene handling and action design are even more neat. He has been nominated for the best action director of the Hong Kong Film Awards for ten times, and has won four awards (spy, purple rain storm, secret service fan city and besieged city in October).
