In 1951, he was an actor of Shanghai People's Art Theatre; in 1956, he was an actor of Central Experimental Theatre; in 1991, he was the president of China Youth Art Theatre. At present, he is the director of literature and Art Committee of China Association of veteran professors. Senior expert consultant of Nuwa Asia Pacific Foundation. He once won the title of advanced worker in the national cultural system
