Cai Jiwei, male, born in 1929 in Quxian County, Zhejiang Province, China, is a film director and photographer. He is good at shooting magnificent scenes with delicate artistic treatment and vivid characterization. He has successively served as the team leader of the propaganda branch of the military and Political University of the third corps, the photography assistant, associate photographer, photographer and director of Bayi film studio, and the fourth and fifth directors of China Film Association. "Shining star of huaizhuang" and "Red Star of Zeng Ren". The film co directed and photographed is long road. Sidu Chishui (co director and photographer) won the special award of the fourth Golden Rooster Award in 1984. Song of the Chinese revolution, as Chief Photographer, won the second PLA literature and Art Award in 1986.

Cai Jiwei, director and photographer, is from Ningbo, Zhejiang Province. He joined the Chinese people's Liberation Army in 1949, and then studied in the Fine Arts Department of southwest people's Academy of art. In 1952, he began to learn photography after he transferred to Bayi film studio, and successively served as assistant photographer and photographer. In 1957, he was the assistant photographer of the story of Liubao. In 1959, he was the photographer of Chifeng and Seahawk. From the 1950s to the 1980s, he also worked as a photographer in the following films: "pagoda tree pile", "shining red star", "South China Sea storm", "tonight's brilliant stars" and so on. In 1981, he began to direct films such as "long road" and "crossing Chishui four times". After working as a director, he directed a long way to go. Later, he directed films such as Sidu Chishui, Tongtian tower and female assassin. In the 1990s, he was the director of the war history blockbuster "decisive battle", and was responsible for directing the Liaoshen campaign and Huaihai Campaign. He is now the director of China Film Association.
