Deng Biyun

Deng Biyun (September 27, 1924 - March 25, 1991) was born in Sanshui, Guangdong Province. He was an actor of Cantonese Opera and film and television. In his early years, he mainly performed Cantonese Opera and Cantonese movies. Later, he mainly performed on TV. His image of "Ma Da" was very popular. At the end of 1949, he came to Hong Kong as the leader of biyuntian opera company. In an election in 1959, Deng Biyun, Xinma Shizeng and Liang Xingbo were elected "three kings of Cantonese Opera". Early experience

Originally named Deng Shaofu, he was born in Sanshui, Guangdong Province. He had a strong interest in Cantonese Opera since he was a child. He had to learn to sing Cantonese opera as a teacher, and then made a living on the stage in the teahouse. Later, the "Taiping opera company" implemented the system of men and women working in the same class. Almost all of the Tiantai female Huadan in Guangzhou were hired by Ma Shi to stage in Taiping theater. Deng Biyun, a new comer, was also hired to study drama in Lanfang Cantonese Opera college in Hong Kong. Qiao Lan Fang is a famous male playwright in Cantonese opera. She is experienced and skilled. Besides, Fang Yanfen, Lin Jiayi, Lin Jiasheng, Chen Haofu and so on also studied drama at Lanfang Cantonese opera academy.

Deng Biyun's works were performed in Macao during the wartime, and performed with Ren Jianhui and other Wen wusheng as the official seal of Huadan. Later, he was hired and returned to Guangzhou to join the giant Troupe "Jin Tian Hua Troupe" at that time as the real principal of the big troupe. Along with Deng Biyun is Zheng Biying. Hong Kong Cantonese Opera circles often say "big sprite sister". Dabi refers to Deng Biyun, while sprite refers to Zheng Biying.

In the late 1940s, Sprite returned to Hong Kong and joined different troupes. Deng Biyun's most popular civil and military students include Xinma Shizeng and Huang qiansui. They are also the most common film partners of Dabie. By the end of the 1950s, Deng Biyun, in response to the audience's taste, also made her own "omnipotent" skills. She set up her own "biyuntian Troupe" and took part in wenwusheng's film. Her leading actors were mainly Li Baoying, Zheng Biying, Wu Junli, and Bo Shuliang Xingbo. As a result, Deng Biyun continued to perform in the "biyuntian" class, and there were still intermittent performances in the 1970s. Until the 1980s, the TV station invited her to participate in the performance of TV series, and opened another stage. He died in Hong Kong in January 1991 at the age of 65. Deng Biyun is willing to give some advice to her younger generation. During her more than ten years in the TV circle, she has been loved by her younger generation, such as TV actor Shen Dianxia, and praised her as a person.

Deng Biyun's contribution to the cultivation of new Cantonese Opera talents is obvious to all. The veteran performers in the Cantonese Opera industry in Hong Kong, including Ruan Zhaohui, Wen qiansui, Yin Feiyan and Liang Hanwei, are all from "biyuntian". Deng Biyun has no formal disciple. However, because she is willing to teach her younger generation, many people in yuequ opera circles have been taught by her. Among them, Chen Jiaming and Wang Chaoqun are the descendants of Deng Biyun.

Chen Jiaming has been learning drama since childhood. Since childhood, he has been working in biyuntian, and has been performing with Deng Biyun for a long time. At first, I learned the trade of civil and military students. In the late 1970s, he joined the Liqun Cantonese Opera Troupe and became Luo Jiaying's assistant. Later, due to the need of human foot, he changed his role as Huadan. He took part in a number of performances in large and medium-sized classes. He was a member of the second group of Huadan and a member of the middle group of Zhengyin Huadan. Chen Jiaming likes to enlighten the younger generation and often helps the new generation perform. She has become a very valuable veteran in Hong Kong. In Hong Kong, there is a saying that a troupe without yushengpu, Ruan Zhaohui or xinjianlang, Ren binger or Chen Jiaming can not be called a large class. She is a rare talent of Cantonese Opera and has a great style of being a teacher.

Wang Chaoqun was born in the same family as Chen Jiaming. However, Wang Chaoqun has been performing "street drama" in Xingma for a long time since the 1970s. Others include xinjianlang and Chen Jiansheng. It was not until the 1990s that the star horse Cantonese Opera came back to Hong Kong for development. It was also the official seal of Hong Kong's famous actors, such as "Guan Qun Tian" and "Qian Qun". Chen Huisi, another singer, also learned from Deng Biyun.

Acting experience

Born in Guangzhou in 1924. He came to Hong Kong at the age of 13 and studied in Peidao middle school. He loved Cantonese Opera when he was a child, and joined Xiao Lanfang, the tutor of Cantonese opera, to study art. When she was 14 years old, she began to work as Mei Xiang in the evergreen troupe. Later, he became a Huadan in Cantonese opera troupes such as jiuchongtian, Taiping and nuerxiang. When she was 15 years old, she took the leading role in the "Jin Tian Hua" troupe. She was good at acting in many kinds of roles. She was also good at acting as a civil and military student. She could speak Zhongshan dialect, Shunde dialect and Siyi dialect. She was honored as the "Queen of omnipotent Dan" with the best voice and the best body. She later joined the Taiping opera company and performed in Macao during the Anti Japanese war. First of all, "Jin Tian Hua" was reorganized and partnered with he Fanfan, so his reputation rose from Macao. Later, he returned to Guangzhou and joined Jin Tian Hua opera company. Together with Zheng Biying, he was called "big sprite sister". Later, with Bai Yutang, Liang Xingbo, Zhang huoyou and others, he formed his own "biyuntian" troupe. After the performance of "wind and fire send Ciyun", it was a big success.

In 1950, he entered the shadow circle and made the movie "wind and fire send Ciyun". After that, most comedies. Among them, the images of unruly daughter-in-law, silly elder sister and Shunde "mother sister" are the most popular. In the same period, it was named eight peonies together with Zhengyin Huadan fenghuangnu, Luo Yanqing, Yu Lizhen, Wu Junli, Yu suqiu, Nanhong and Lin Feng. He has also founded three film companies, including Baobao, Baohua and Jinbi, and produced 39 films, including yannvqingdianfeiyulang and Yang Bamei's marriage.

In 1968, Deng Biyun began to turn to the development of television, the first TV play is "you Wu you". He has performed in TVB (Asia TV), Jiayi TV and TVB. He has starred in Cantonese Opera such as Bihai crazy monk, affectionate Meng Lijun, cowherd and weaver girl, daughter of king of flowers, red widow, story of East wall of Flower Moon, etc.; he has starred in films such as twisted grain new hold evil family aunt, Han Xiangzi's love in a snowy night, bride snatching, etc.; he has starred in TV series such as family change, chameleon, celebrity love history, etc. The leading roles include: sending Ciyun by wind and fire, sister Guima, crazy monk Bihai, niannujiao at night, season, four eyed boy, gorgeous girl, fake Yulang, Meng Lijun, new cause of crying and laughing, etc. Others involved in the production are: Yongchun, young Huang Feihong's Iron Monkey, blue sky, Huang Feihong, Xiaoao Lake's East invincible, etc. As they get older, most of them play the role of mother. In the 1980s, she played the mother of a family in the wireless TV series season, which is Deng Biyun's most successful role ever. She was very popular for her role of "Ma Da", and the audience called her "Ma Da". As a result, when she took over a number of Hong Kong films and advertisements, she also appeared as "Ma Da".

In 1987, she also led the award "Ten Golden Songs" for Hong Kong music circle Xu Xiaofeng.

On March 25, 1991, he died of lung failure in Hong Kong. He was 66 years old. To commemorate Deng Biyun's achievements in performing arts, his family donated money in the name of his mother to charities in Hong Kong. A number of centers are named after Deng Biyun, including Bao Liang Kui Tang Biyun Memorial Kindergarten (located in Guangfu estate, Tai Po) and Yan Chai Hospital, an elderly center in Shek Kip Mei.
