Xu Qinfang (1907-1985), female, was born in Wujin, Jiangsu Province. Famous movie and Peking Opera actors.

Life of the characters

Influenced by his family when he was young, he loved drama. In 1924, he went to Shanghai with his father Xu Hansheng and was admitted to the Shanghai China Film School, the first school in China to train movie actors. At the same time, Hu Die, Xiao Ying, Chen Yitang, Gao lichen and Wang Yuanlong, who later became famous movie stars, joined the school. The next year, he joined the union film company and became famous with Hu Die in autumn fan resentment. Xu Qinfang has a bright personality. She is a woman. She can ride a horse, dance a sword and drive a car. She admires the chivalrous red powder of ancient times. After the release of the first martial arts film "Huangjiang nvxia" starring Fang Yuqin, it became very popular. Some people called it "Huangjiang nvxia". Since then, she has acted in more than 50 martial arts films such as red butterfly, Yu Meiren, sea hero and other films. After the May 30th massacre, regardless of her personal safety, she and Chen Keng ran rushed to the scene of Nanjing Road and other relevant places immediately, captured a lot of precious materials, and edited and produced the May 30th Shanghai tide in time. This excellent documentary has played a positive role in stimulating the patriotic enthusiasm of the broad masses of the people in the struggle against imperialism.

Since then, she has starred in "son of prostitute", "Red Butterfly", "Shandong Xiangma", "double swordsman" (and screenwriter) and other films. After 1930, she starred in "Huangjiang nvxia" (1-13 episodes) and became a popular martial arts star.

In 1933, he joined the star film company and played a major role in films such as "the road to health and beauty", "women's way" and "daughter's classic". In 1935, he starred in the biography of red sheep hero, which eulogized the peasant revolution of the Taiping Heavenly Kingdom, for Xinhua film company.

She is fond of Beijing Opera and is good at singing the old students of Tan school. She looks handsome and has a spirit. Her singing is broad, bright and pleasant. She can put it in and out freely, which attracts people's attention. In 1940, she went into exile with her husband Chen Keng ran and sister Lu Ming in Guilin, Guangxi. In order to make a living, she performed Peking Opera on the stage. Later, the whole family moved to Chengdu, where she further studied the "five skills and four techniques" of Peking Opera, and had a wider playing range. Her plays such as Wen Zhao Guan, Wu pen Ji, Zhuo Fang Cao and Si Lang Tan Mu were well-known for a time. After the founding of the people's Republic of China, she participated in the Shanghai Dramatist Association, performed with famous Peking Opera actors Hua Xianglin and Gao Shenglin, and performed with Cheng Yanqiu, one of the "four famous actors" in Peking Opera. In Jiangsu, Zhejiang, Yunnan and other places have been very high evaluation. After the August 13 incident, she took part in the 13th National Salvation drama team of Shanghai cultural circles, went to refugee shelters and wounded soldiers' hospitals for propaganda and consolation performances, and later starred in films such as "spring in the garden", "women's apartment" and "Peacock Flying Southeast" in film companies such as Yihua, Guohua and Huaxin. After 1940, he traveled to Hong Kong and southwest China to perform drama and Peking Opera. In 1949, he played a role in the film "a smooth March" and "women in troubled times" shot by Shanghai Cathay Pacific and Datong film company. The next year, she and Tong Zhiling co starred in the film "sister friends" and bid farewell to the film world. In 1954, he joined Shanghai popular Peking Opera Troupe, specializing in senior students. In 1981, he was employed as a librarian of Shanghai culture and history museum until his death.
