Early experience

Chen PI came to Taiwan with his parents when he was 3 years old. He taught himself guitar when he was a student. After graduating from University, he went to singing hall to sing.

Acting experience

In the late 1980s, Peter Chen's "I love my country" for Ling Feng was banned in Taiwan before it was released. At the same time, the cumbersome affairs of the Performing Arts Union made him unbearable. Suffering from depression, he chose to leave Taiwan. In 1991, Peter Chen moved from Taiwan to Beijing and settled down.

In July 1981, Peter Chen released his first album, also love songs. In April 1983, he composed for the Song Yi Jian Mei. In January 1988, he released his personal album Guiyan. In November, Peter Chen began to perform in Chengdu, Chongqing, Wuhan and other places, holding 20 "visiting concerts". In January 1989, he released his personal album "wish you China".

In October 2010, Peter Chen went to Changsha to record the variety show "day up" and sing the song "late". In 2017, his film "bomb disposal expert" was released, in which Peter Chen guest starred in tietou.

On March 17, 2018, the sixth issue of CCTV variety show "classic chant spread" premiered, performing Xin Qiji's "jade case · New Year's Eve" in the Southern Song Dynasty. On August 10, the fourth issue of the variety show "voice of China 2018" premiered, and Peter Chen sang the theme song "remember me" of "journey around the dream".

On the evening of April 27, 2019, Peter Chen once again came to the classic chant spread, singing Du Fu's Chengdu mansion. On September 13, Peter Chen attended the Mid Autumn Festival Gala of China Central Radio and television in 2019 and sang the song "a pruning plum".

In September 2019, the MV of "charcoal fire in the snow", a poverty alleviation song composed and sung by Peter Chen, was completed. It is an employment poverty alleviation song tailored by Peter Chen for the "charcoal fire in the snow" action in Banan District of Chongqing.

Peter Chen is a famous musician in Taiwan. In the late 1980s, he wrote "I love my country" to express his longing for his hometown. After returning home for the first time in 1988, Peter Chen gradually moved his career from Taiwan to the mainland, and began to work for Chinese ancient poetry.
