Panax notoginseng, the name of traditional Chinese medicine. It is the dry root of Panax notoginseng (Burk.) f.h.chen. It has the effect of removing blood stasis, stopping bleeding, promoting blood circulation and relieving pain. Indications: hemorrhage, traumatic injury, blood stasis, swelling and pain.

Physiological characteristics

1. The taproot is conical or cylindrical, 1-6cm long and 1-4cm in diameter. The surface is grayish brown or grayish yellow, with intermittent longitudinal wrinkles and branch root marks. There are stem marks at the top and nodular protuberances around. Body weight, solid quality, section gray green, yellow green or gray white, wood slightly radial arrangement. The taste is bitter and sweet. 2. The ribs are cylindrical or conical in shape, 2-6cm in length, 0.8cm in diameter at the upper end and 0.3cm in diameter at the lower end. 3. The cutting edge is irregular shrunken block or strip shape, with several obvious stem marks and ring lines on the surface. The center of the section is gray green or white, and the edge is dark green or gray.

Place of Origin

It is mainly grown in Wenshan County, Yunnan Province, including Wenshan County, Yanshan County, Maguan County, Xichou County, Guangnan County, Malipo County, Funing County and Qiubei County. It is also grown in Tianyang, Jingxi, Tiandong and Debao County of Guangxi Province. Wenshan Prefecture of Yunnan has a long history, large output and good quality. It is commonly known as "wensanqi" and "Tianqi", which are famous genuine medicinal materials.

Processing method

1. Panax notoginseng: take the original medicine, remove impurities, and mash it when using. 2. Panax Notoginseng Powder: take Panax notoginseng, wash, dry, and grind fine powder. 3.
