Xia Liang, associate professor, male, was born in January 1989 in Dangtu, Anhui Province.

He is now associate professor of School of mechanical science and engineering, Huazhong University of science and technology.

Profile

In July 2010, he graduated from northwest Polytechnic University with a bachelor's degree in aircraft manufacturing engineering. Later, he recommended to our university for a master's degree in aerospace manufacturing engineering. Since September 2012, he has studied for a doctor's degree in mechanical engineering from gongbine University of science and technology, France, and obtained a doctor's degree in November 2015. After graduation, he has been engaged in postdoctoral research in the robrval mechanics laboratory and the multi-scale simulation and Simulation Laboratory of CNRS. Since February 2017, he has worked in the school of mechanical science and engineering of Huazhong University of science and technology.

Research direction

The main research interests include: structural topology optimization design, multi-scale finite element calculation, model reduction and surrogate calculation, and crack propagation simulation. As of December 2017, Elsevier has been invited to publish a personal English monograph, published more than 20 SCI retrieval papers, and selected one highly cited / hot paper of ESI, with more than 140 SCI citations, 429 Google academic citations, 13 H-factor (Google academic data), and participated in more than 20 academic conferences. His doctoral dissertation won the best Doctoral Dissertation Award of CSMA (2 each year) and was the first Chinese winner since its establishment in 2005. As the only candidate of CSMA, he won the best doctoral dissertation nomination award of ecomas in 2015 and was invited to arcme, a journal of engineering calculation method review（ If: 5.061).
