Hu Wenliang: Professor, postgraduate supervisor, graduated from the Department of resources and environment of Hebei Institute of technology in 1970 and stayed in the university to teach. He was transferred to the Department of resources and environment of Hebei Normal University in 1975. Engaged in the teaching of cartography, thematic map, geographic information system, computer aided cartography, mathematical cartography, land survey and cartography.

Publishing textbooks

He edited and published three teaching materials: Land Survey and cartography, basis of geographic information system and full digital cartography. He edited and published two monographs: the visualization principle of quantitative information of thematic map and quantitative graphics of oblique coordinate system.

Personal achievement

He has successively participated in the national key projects of the sixth, seventh and eighth five year plan sponsored by the Institute of geography, Chinese Academy of Sciences. Second prize of national science and technology progress Atlas of Beijing and Tianjin; third prize of national science and technology progress Atlas of China And the special prize of science and technology progress of Chinese Academy of Sciences; research on standards and specifications of regional development information system (73-03-07), etc.

As the main researcher, he completed the project of National Natural Science Foundation of China in 1991;

These achievements have been appraised by experts and reached the advanced level at home and abroad.

As the main researcher, he has also participated in and completed the land planning projects of 14 counties and cities, including Huanghua city and Cangzhou City. Some of the projects have won the first prize of advanced work and the second prize of scientific and technological progress of the provincial and National Land Bureau respectively.

In 1997, he presided over the teaching reform project of cartography and won the first prize of teaching achievements in Hebei Province. In 1999, he also won the third prize of excellent teachers in normal universities of Zeng Xianzi education foundation. The chief editor's "geographic information system foundation" and "oblique coordinate system quantitative graphics" won the first prize of Hebei Province in 1999 and 2001 respectively. In 2000, he was named the academic leader of Hebei Normal University. In the past ten years, more than 30 papers have been published.
