In 1985, yuan jieying was discovered in the street by Huang Baiming. She entered the film industry at the age of 15 and signed a contract with Xinyi City film company to become an artist. She joined Chen Jialing and Luo Meiwei, who appeared in the same period, to form a "happy girl group" to participate in life comedies such as "happy ghost summer vacation", "Happy Garden", "happy ghost hit ghost".
