Xia Fanghao is a free bass accordion performer, piano educator, Professor, music writer, scholar, member of Chinese Musicians Association and member of German accordion Association.

brief introduction

Born in Hefei, Anhui Province, China, he studied erhu, accordion and piano with his father Xia Yongqing when he was young. He performed on stage at the age of seven and won numerous awards. Later, he studied with Yin Jian and Chen Liwei from the Music Department of Anhui Normal University.

Xia Fanghao studied erhu, accordion and piano with his father Xia Yongqing when he was young. At the age of 7, he performed on stage. In 1991, he was an accordion and piano teacher in Shenzhen, and received the care and instruction of Zeng Jian, a famous accordion elder in China. He studied accordion in Germany in 1998 and studied under Joseph Prague. He graduated in 2001 and got the diploma of performer.

In 2000, the 8th International Accordion competition in Germany won the "outstanding music achievement award" and "German national music Cup".

He was awarded the "outstanding musician" honorary gold medal by the accordion Association of Germany and the Trossingen Conservatory of music. In 2002, he won the "music messenger special contribution award" of German handicraft Association.
