Zhang Zhihong

Male, Han nationality, born in December 1964 in Wuhu, Anhui Province, started work in September 1987. He is a member of the Communist Party of China and graduated from the Department of economics of Anhui University with a bachelor's degree in political economy.

He is now member of the Standing Committee and Secretary General of Wuhu Municipal Party committee and vice mayor of Wuhu Municipal government.

Appointment and removal information

On September 6, 2019, the 11th Standing Committee meeting of the 13th CPPCC Wuhu Municipal Committee was held. Zhang Feng, chairman of the CPPCC municipal committee, presided over the meeting and delivered a speech. Zhang Zhihong, member of the Standing Committee of the CPC Municipal Committee, secretary general and vice mayor, attended the meeting. It is understood that this is Zhang Zhihong's first public appearance as a member of the Standing Committee and Secretary General of Wuhu Municipal Party committee.

Character punishment

The fourth environmental protection supervision group of the CPC Central Committee carried out environmental protection supervision in Anhui Province from April 27 to May 27, 2017, and gave feedback to Anhui provincial Party committee and government on July 29, 2017. Wuhu city overall planning (2012-2013) plans the core area and buffer zone of the reserve in Wuwei County as port shoreline and reserved shoreline, rather than ecological shoreline, which is contrary to the function of the reserve. In 2015, Wuhu Municipal Development and Reform Commission and port and shipping administration approved the berth reconstruction project of No. 2 Wharf of Wuwei Tuqiao Port Co., Ltd., which is located in the buffer zone of the reserve. In March 2017, the provincial environmental protection department clearly required that Wuhu City should do a good job in self inspection and self correction of illegal construction projects in the reserve, but Wuhu City and Wuwei County did not carry out comprehensive investigation and rectification as required, and only three sand stations reported by the Ministry of environmental protection were shut down. Up to the time of supervision, many illegal construction projects in the core area and buffer zone of Wuwei County have not been removed. In accordance with the relevant regulations and the authority of cadre management, Zhang Zhihong, vice mayor of Wuhu City, was given an administrative warning.
