Wan Shalang, formerly known as Wang Zhongyi, is a male singer from Taiwan, China.

In 1988, he participated in the CCTV Spring Festival Gala and was well known by mainland audiences for his singing song "love song of Naluwan". He was rescued in 2004 after taking sleeping pills and committing suicide.

Acting experience

In 1989, he took part in the CCTV Spring Festival Gala. His solo song "Naluwan love song" and his concert "together in the year of the dragon" with Wei Wei were well known by mainland audiences.

Personal life

In 1997, Wan Shalang accidentally fell down the stairs, leading to mental decline. After being disabled by the fall, he lived on disability assistance and friends' assistance and lived with his girlfriend surnamed Guo. On October 29, 2004, she was rescued after taking sleeping pills and committing suicide.
