Xu Wei

Xu Wei (January 13, 1967 -), whose real name is Zheng Ruwei, was born in Miaoli city. She is a famous English tutor in Taiwan. She is the director of "Xu Wei cultural and educational institution" (Xu Wei founded cram school), and the host of "Xu Wei English classroom" and "Wei Wei smile on the weekend" on news98.

In 2004, the prosecution found that the English teaching materials of Xu Wei's cram school copied Liu Yi's teaching materials, and prosecuted Jiang Meijing, director of the Middle School of Xu Wei's cultural and educational institution. In March 2006, Xu Wei culture and education organization's member "Xu Wei culture and Enterprise Co., Ltd." published the "high school English textbook (a)" in the same chapter arrangement and whole paragraph plagiarism. After graduating from Taipei No.1 women's high school, Xu Wei ranked first in the National Taiwan University Entrance Examination in terms of English. In February 2003, Liu Yi, Xu Wei's strong opponent in the supplementary English teaching industry, set up the "Liu Yi English tutoring class", accusing her of plagiarizing the English handouts edited by the class and suing the police. At that time, the media reported that "both parties are famous English tutors in the market, which makes this case particularly attractive and has aroused the attention of both sides' tutoring class students There was a lot of discussion with parents. In 2004, the prosecution found that the English teaching materials of Xu Wei's cram school did copy Liu Yi's teaching materials, and prosecuted Jiang Meijing, the director of the Middle School of Xu Wei's cultural and educational institution, who was actually in charge. Xu Wei himself was not prosecuted for lack of criminal evidence, and the storm came to an end for the time being. In March 2006, the media reported that Xu Wei Cultural Enterprise Co., Ltd., a member of Xu Wei's cultural and educational organization, had copied senior high school English textbook published by far east book company in the form of the same chapter arrangement and whole paragraph plagiarism. In June 2005, far east book company filed a lawsuit with the court. At that time, Xu Wei's cultural and educational institution explained that this was due to the negligence of the "work study students". She wrote to apologize and promised not to plagiarize again, and offered to compensate NT $250000. On December 5, 2006, the Taipei District Attorney General's office charged Xu Wei and Jiang Zhengming (Xu Wei's husband, the head teacher of Xu Wei's cultural and educational institution) with violating the copyright law.
