Liu Shiming (1938-august 8, 2017), male, born in Beijing in 1938, originally from Shandong, is a famous tenor, opera performing artist, national first-class actor, member of the 12th Central Committee of the Chinese peasants and Workers Democratic Party, and a special allowance recipient of the State Council. His representative works include Xiao erhei's marriage, Liu Hulan, Bai maonv and Dou E yuan.

On August 8, 2017, he died in Beijing Friendship Hospital at the age of 80 because of ineffective treatment for cancer.
