In 1984, he took part in the concert of new artist's new work jointly sponsored by China Youth Daily and the voice of music in Nanjing, and won the new artist award with a song "Mu GUI"; later, he recorded the first personal album "tell you, tell me" for Shanghai audio-visual company; and held the 81st Weekly Radio Concert "Duan pin Zhang's personal concert" in Shanghai Concert Hall; in the same year, he worked for Guangzhou Pacific video company , China audio and video recording company and other audio and video companies recorded the album.
In 1985, he began to participate in the national art performance activities, and recorded personal albums for Yunnan audio-visual publishing house, Guizhou audio-visual company and other audio-visual companies.
In 1987, he entered the "Gu Jianfen vocal music training center" of Beijing Central song and Dance Troupe for further study, and won the second prize in the Apollo cup singer competition. He successively participated in the first and second 100 singers' concerts, and appeared in large-scale parties held in Beijing Capital Gymnasium, workers' Gymnasium and other large concert venues.
In 1989, he was transferred to the Beijing Second Artillery Art Troupe as a soloist, recording the theme song for the film "urban life" and the theme song "year after year" for the feature film "Chinese movie stars".
During 1987-1991, he successively participated in the performances of CCTV's 15th Party of the first month, world earth day, green environment day and other large-scale parties, as well as the art parties held by Beijing TV station and provincial and municipal TV stations.
In 1989, he went to Singapore to participate in the Spring Festival Gala of "spring to the riverside to welcome the new year" and gathered with singers from all over the world. He also recorded a personal album for Singapore far east music group.
In 1990, he participated in the selection of "your favorite singer and song" by the audience and won the honorary title of China's top ten singers.
Recently, he recorded three theme songs for the 33 episode TV series "flying dance" and served as the judge of the "second Guofeng cup Dalian China Japan song singing TV competition", and sang a song "your love, my God" in the final and award presentation party.
