The disease of collecting firewood, a Chinese idiom, Pinyin is C ǎ IX ī nzh ī J í, which means you can't collect firewood when you are ill. A euphemism claiming to be ill. From Mencius Gongsun Chou Xia.

The origin of Idioms

Mencius: "in the past, there was a king's life, and there was a worry about collecting salaries, so we could not build a dynasty." Zhu Xi's annotation: "the worry of collecting salary is that we can't collect salary if we are sick." The later reason is "the worry of collecting salary" which refers to illness.
