Brief introduction of Qiang people's sheepskin drum dance
Applicant: Wenchuan County, Sichuan Province
The Qiang people's sheepskin drum dance language, known as "moennasha" or "buzila", is mainly popular in Longxi, Yanmen, Mianchi and other places in Wenchuan County, Aba Tibetan and Qiang Autonomous Prefecture, Sichuan Province, and Baduo village in aer village, Longxi township is the most typical. According to the literature, sheepskin dance was originally a religious dance performed by the Qiang people in the practice of Shibi, and then gradually evolved into a folk dance.
Sheepskin drum dance is an indispensable part of Qiang people's social practice, ceremony and festival activities. It is mysterious and has a strong color of primitive religious sacrifice. His movements are both vigorous and humble, reflecting the dancer's awe of the world.
Shibi, also known as "Xu" and respectfully known as "adaxu", is the highest cultural inheritor of Qiang nationality. They are not only the disseminators of Qiang history and culture, but also the singers and dancers of Qiang nationality. During the activities of "mountain sacrifice" during spring ploughing and "Qiang year" on the first day of October of the lunar calendar, the Qiang sheepskin dance team will beat drums and dance under the lead of Shibi dance to worship all things. What's more peculiar is that the jump step, the jump step on tiptoe and the jump step on the legs of Shang sheep in the sheep skin dance are very similar to the "Yu step" described in baopuzi by Ge Hong of Jin Dynasty.
Sheepskin drum dance with the core concept of "harmony between man and nature" is conducive to promoting the harmonious coexistence between man and nature, and still plays a role in educating the people in Qiang social life. At present, due to the impact of modern culture, the ancient sheepskin drum is facing the danger of disappearing, which is in urgent need of protection.
