Introduction to luoluodong
Applicant: Jianli County, Hubei Province
Luoluodong is a kind of rice seedling chant popular in Jianli County, Hubei Province. Jianli County, located in the south of Hubei Province, is adjacent to Honghu Lake in the East and the Yangtze River in the south. It has been a place of Chu in Jianghan Dynasty since ancient times. It is used to the style of Chu and the sound of Chu. The historical origin of luoluodong can be traced back to the spring and Autumn period and Warring States period, which can be regarded as the legacy of Chu's voice. Its relay style of voice transmission is very similar to that of Jieyu song.
Luo Luo Dong mainly sings folk opera libretto. The musical structure has the characteristics of polyphony music and "unaccompanied natural harmony", commonly known as "Da harmony". Singing can be divided into three parts: first, second and third. After the third part, it is followed by "lifting the stump", that is, chorus, and then reaches the climax. Luoluodong has a wide range and high melody, showing a kind of primitive wild interest. It belongs to the folk songs of Chu Shang and Chu Zheng system. The melody takes 5, 1 and 2 as the backbone sound, and there is also a change sound "7".
Luo Luo Dong sings in Jiannan dialect, which retains a lot of ancient Chu rhyme of "Xiaping sound Liuma". According to the structure, lyrics can be divided into "simple sentence structure" and "more complex multi paragraph structure", and the second one is the most. This structure is rich in colloquial language, novel and unique, often mixed, ups and downs, full of wit.
Luoluodong has the characteristics of plain folk songs with free rhythm and long melody. It is characterized by four or five degrees of jumping in. Syntax is enhanced first and then suppressed. It often uses colorful "pianyin" in the high range. In the earliest singing of luoluodong Yangtian, drum was the only accompaniment instrument. Later, the singing was completely directed by the vocalist.
Luo Luo Dong's representative works include Hua Luo Dong, ye Luo Dong, song of rough legs and so on. As a folk art form formed in the long-term farming work, luoluodong has a distinctive regional color and a wide range of mass, which is one of the important entry points of Chu culture research. At present, the old people who can sing luoluodong in Jianli area have died one after another. This ancient folk song is on the verge of extinction, so it is urgent to rescue and protect it.
