Maixirefu is a special form of folk entertainment of Xinjiang Uygur, and also an ancient folk cultural activity, with a long history and continuous inheritance. The word "maixire Fu" comes from Arabic and means "gathering". Maixire Fu mainly engaged in dance and entertainment activities, with a large number of participants entertaining themselves. According to the performance form, maixire Fu can be divided into singing and dancing maixire Fu, game maixire Fu and rap maixire Fu, and also can be divided into living room maixire Fu, welcome maixire Fu and harvest maixire Fu according to the performance content. All parts of Xinjiang have their own maixirefu, with similar forms and different names, such as "Daolang", "kuoke" and "Tahe".
Kerikum maixirep is a form of Daolang maixirep, which is popular in kerikum village and kedimuayimak village of kalatale Town, Aksu City, Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region. It is formed on the basis of the production and life of the people in these two villages. It is composed of lyrics, music (Muqam), dance and all kinds of humorous traditional folk games. It has a history of more than 400 years. At present, there are many people in urban and rural areas of Aksu who can dance kirikumu maixirep dance. There are more than 70 folk artists who can play kirikumu maixirep music, but very few folk players know how to be humorous.
Nowadays, the content and form of kerikummaixire Fu are gradually enriched and improved, and become a well preserved precious cultural heritage of ethnic minorities.
