Introduction to Mid Autumn Festival (autumn Eve)
Applicant: Yanbian Korean Autonomous Prefecture, Jilin Province
Autumn Eve used to be the most important festival of the Korean nation. Korean people inherit this festival from generation to generation, forming a unique Chinese Korean Mid Autumn Festival custom.
The Korean people's autumn festival begins with ancestor worship and tomb sweeping. On autumn Eve, people first go to the cemetery to cut off the weeds on the grave, and then display sacrifices for sacrifice. On autumn Eve, the festival was grand, with cattle slaughtered and wine prepared. Each family made cakes and muffins from newly harvested millet, and held traditional folk activities such as swing, springboard and wrestling. The festival lasted for several days.
At the same time, it has gradually become a new fashion to understand and celebrate the Mid Autumn Festival with other nationalities.
