In the family chain of traditional Chinese medicine of Xin'an medicine in Anhui Province, the "Zhang Yitie" family, which mainly focuses on internal medicine, is considered to be one of the families with the longest history and the greatest contemporary influence. "Zhang Yitie" is based on Dingtan, Shexian county.

It has been more than 450 years since the name of "Zhang Yitie" came into being in Jiajing period of Ming Dynasty. "Zhang Yitie" is famous in Anhui, Zhejiang and Jiangxi provinces for its excellent medical skills in the treatment of internal medicine complicated diseases and acute febrile diseases.

The name of "Zhang Yitie" comes from the fact that when the patients are in critical condition, they are often cured with a piece of medicine. There are also some magical legends like "immortal crutch" in the folk. The famous Confucian scholar Wu Chengshi's chronic disease was cured by Zhang Gengui, the 13th generation descendant of Zhang Yitie's internal medicine department. After he was cured, he sincerely praised: "he wrote Qihuang's third career, and his heart is full of rain and dew."
