Li BAOYING

Li Baoying, a great lover of Shunde, is a famous Cantonese Opera actress. Growing up in Hong Kong, she was an amateur singer at the beginning. In the 1950s, she set foot in the singing world. She was famous for her singing "Fangqiang" and "xiaofangyanfen". Together with Li wensuo and Zhong Lirong, she was well-known for her singing of Fangqiang, Fanqiang and Hongqiang. She is known as "three treasures of the art world". Later, he turned to be a professional Cantonese Opera artist, devoted himself to movies, performed many famous plays of fangyanfen, and cooperated with Luo Jiaying in the early stage.

Personal experience

In the early 1960s, she and Lin Jiasheng organized a family treasure troupe, and also served as the Huadan of qingxinsheng and songxinsheng. In the 1970s, she began to partner with Luo Jiaying to organize the Da Qunying opera company. In 1980, the Li Qun Cantonese opera company was established, with Li BAOYING as the official seal. In the 1980s, she and Lin Jiasheng formed a songxinsheng troupe to perform such dramas as "Lou Tai Hui" and "Jin Ge Wan Li Qing of the army". She also returned home together with Luo Jiaying to cooperate with Shunde Cantonese Opera Troupe to perform such dramas as "Zhang Tai Liu" and "Di Qing Chuang San Guan", which were well received by the audience.

Main achievements

She is the first Cantonese Opera performer to perform for Chinese and Western orchestras. She has worked with Hong Kong Chinese Orchestra, AMA Orchestra and Pan Asian Symphony Orchestra. Li BAOYING is committed to the cultivation of a new generation of actors. She has taught at Shengxin middle school and Art Center, and hosted the "voice of pear garden" program for RTHK. She has spared no effort to promote the broadcasting industry. He won the Queen's Medal of honor in 1981.
