With the development of history, the use of wooden boats has gradually expanded from agriculture, ferry, inland river and coastal fishing to transportation, commerce, postal transportation and other fields.

Zhuhong Town, Xinghua City, Jiangsu Province is a typical water town with many rivers, lakes and harbors. Wooden boats have become an important tool in people's daily life. Zhuhong wooden boat is mainly made of old Chinese Fir with strong and tenacious material, with iron nails, hemp silk, lime, tung oil and other auxiliary materials.
